The Ripe Papaya | Staccato series

This set has been glazed with 3 colors but turned out to have 5 hues of colors from the layer overlapping effects. The side wall made up of 1.5cm height provides a good grip to the plate. Feels nice to have it sit comfortably on our palm.

Tried out a new color combi with orange hue added. It definitely appeared stronger and reminded me of a ripened papaya

Every plate is made and glazed by hand in my working studio in Singapore.

Please note that all ceramic pieces are handmade. There are no 2 bowls or plates that look exactly identical. Even if I tried to replicate, it might not turn out exactly the same just like us humans. We are all unique in our own ways. Some irregularities of form in every piece does not impact its usage. Do note that each piece is fired at at least 1250°C with lead-free glazes.
