Relationship Plate Series - The Recharge

As I shared on Instagram, that this continuation of Relationship series, I have included more men this batch. I saw this scene, rather peaceful, he's reading on a hammock with headphones on, by a beautiful beach. "what a waste", says my judgmental self. 

but again, who am I to judge? and again, it's a beautiful scene because he's in it.  

His way of recharging, his way of knowing. Does he remind you of anybody?

The Relationship Series emerged from my reflections on human connections — my relationships with others, and the many ways people enter, leave, and shape our lives. It is an exploration of the subtle dynamics between self and others, and the significance we hold in each other's stories.

While the people around us inevitably influence who we are and contribute to our growth, the journey always circles back to self-awareness. We do not live in isolation, yet we are ultimately responsible for our own well-being and the way we choose to navigate our lives.

Firing: Electric
Method: Each plate is formed freehand from scratch, with no molds involved in the making process. Then painted with underglaze and coated with transparent glaze before sending for firing.

Please note that all ceramic pieces are handmade by myself in Singapore. Some irregularities of form in every piece do not impact its usage. Note that each piece is fired at cone 10 (at least 1260°C) with lead-free glazes making our ceramic ware food-safe, dishwasher- and microwave-friendly.
