Material: White Stoneware
Firing: Electric
Method: This trinket dish is made just like the other plate. Was feeling a little playful so I started carving on it. Usually I would just carve a long flowy one, but this time around I let my hands do it. It's decided to go full coconut tree mode.
Highlight: I have incorporated some pigments made by Singaporean artists @wildd.sg who made their own watercolor pigments. In particular the beige color patch on the dish, it's been added with our local pigments made of flower. Out of curiosity I wanted to see how these raw pigments end up after high firing in the kiln. I was so pleased to see that it's not entirely burnt, but stayed, and resulted in this fine beige glaze color (was initially given to me in red). If you'd like to own a little piece of SG, this would be the special one.
*Small wine cups in pic not included.
