There are so many ways of glazing an assiette ('plate' in French, a word I just learnt ).
Some people think that glazing exercise is stressful, for I am sure they were afraid of how it'd turn out - either a disaster or a success. It will be defined as success if it sparked more joy than their expectation. On the flip side it will be a disaster if the colors turned out not quite as close to what's on their mind.
For this piece, I was taking a bet if random strokes of glaze overlapping would give me surprises.
What do you think?
I see energy flowing through this plate. I see strong current forming in the firing process. Couldn't imagine how much it has bubbled in the kiln.
This is one of a kind of glazing style that I would rarely use.

Due to the nature of its irregular form, the serving dish measurement is taken from its widest width and length.
width: 22cm
length: 14.5cm
height: 1.5cm

Please note that all ceramic pieces are handmade. There is no 2 bowls or plates that look exactly identical. Even if I tried to replicate, it might not turn out exactly the same just like us humans. We are all unique in our own ways. Some irregularities of form in every piece does not impact its usage. Do note that each piece is fired at at least 1250c with lead-free glazes.
