Growth Series Vase - Going Somewhere

This series explores coils as vines—climbing upward, stretching left and right in search of growth and light. Much like life, we’re always reaching for something better: food, shelter, love, fulfilment. The journey isn’t always steady. It moves in waves, teaching us through its highs and lows. 

The coiling on this piece shaped like a piece of fusilli, attached to the side of the vessel, giving it a stylistic touch to the look of this vase. It is also perfect to hold one or two flower stalks. (see pic 4 for reference). When I look back at the carvings on this piece and the gradient of green to blue I have added on, it says a lot about an evolving path. The people we meet, the action we take always lead us to somewhere, somewhere closer to where we desire. Remember to count the blessings on your way, and ocassionaly look back to see how far you have come!
